Do I have to purchase any other equipment?   Yes - Wrestling Shoes and Headgear. These are also reuired for all matches.

What is the club philosophy?  We put the wrestler first.  We teach the values of hard work, discipline, respect and fun.   Winning is a by-product of the environment.   This program has produced some outstanding wrestlers, but we have produced, or at least had a hand in producing, a much larger number of outstanding people.

What is the difference between a "meet/match" and a tournament?   Meets and matches are used interchangeably for our league contests that take place as part of our league schedule.   Team scores are not kept , so technically these are exhibition matches. They are an opporunity to apply what has been learned in practice.   Tournaments fall into several categories, but they all share the common theme of competition culminating in 1st through 3rd or 4th place winners.  We have much less control over tournaments.  Attendance at tournaments is completely voluntary.   Before entering your wrestler please consult your coach.

Who are the coaches?   We have been very fortunate over the years to have among the ranks of our parents some highly qualified coaches.   That being said, we welcome parents to join their wrester on the mat and if you would like to coach, please see a board member.

How is the club supported?  We are a 100% volunteer organization.   Our funding comes from: 1. Membership fees, 2. Annual Tournament, 3. Sponsors.    There is no paid staff.  We need the help of every parent in order to be successful.

What about other team-apparel?  The team store is open through November, with purchases received in time for holiday gifts!

What can I do to help?  There are myriad opportunities to volunteer.  Keep an eye on your email throughout the season.   However, if you see a coach doing anything besides coaching (i.e. mopping a mat, taping a mat, rolling up a mat, carrying chairs, tables or anything else), please jump in and take his place.  His time and energies are much better spent with the wrestlers.
